Problems signing upto to SKY - Please help!

I recently moved into a flat which had a sky dish that was used by the previous tennant..`
I have never been with SKY before and so try to sign up via sky.com
However I am unable to complete the registration as I am told that I am already a sky customer or have used sky in the past and so not eligible for any offer(although there is no great offer with them at the moment!) and does not allow me to complete the sign up
I tried calling their call center which goes to India and they have no clue as to what I am talking about :-(
As I wish to use quidco to get a £50 cashback I am thinking twice about signing up over the phone
Has anyone seen this error before?
Who should I be speaking to for assistance so that I can complete the registration online?

Hi, the freephone number for Sky is 08000 512595 if that helps!
Also look on the "Shop but don't drop " board there is a thread on there about Sky.0 -
