Buying a treadmill....which one?

Hi folks,
Going to buy a treadmill for the garage to get fit again...
Got a budget of £250-£300 and noticed Argos have some good deals on them at the moment.
A few to choose from with good reviews but was just wondering if anyone had any experience of treadmills in this price bracket?
The York T13i is looking the most appealing at the minute down to £300 from £600.
Any advice would be great before i take the plunge!

I would probably not buy from Argos. The only reason is that if you are planning on using the machine a lot you are better to try them out first.
When I bought our last one I tried about 12 different machines. On some I didn't even run for a minute as I disliked them so much, on others the deck was too short whilst on some the build quality felt too flimsy. On one or two I could barely reach the control panel whilst running as they were so badly positioned.
Are you looking for incline, programs etc, what top speed do you want it to have? Also, think about where the machine will go. Mine is very heavy (so it does not wobble even when running at full speed), but this means that when it was delived it was very heavy and cumbersome for two adults to move about on their own.
Mine is good, but no point in recommending it as they no longer make the model.
Hope the tips help.0 -

It depends on your budget and the type of usage it's going to get as to what's going to be best. The York T13i isn't especially high spec. It would be great for light use, but it won't stand up to being hammered. Buying from Argos isn't necessarily a bad thing, but Argos have products that they sell exclusively, which given a high initial selling price so they can give it a big discount later! Looking at the design, features and quality (as much as I can), I'd say that the real RRP should be more like £350-400. That wouldn't be quite such and impressive deal.
I was just looking at the other York treadmills Argos sell (I assume you're happy with that brand). I thought that for heavier use the T201 looks pretty solid and seems to be widely available elsewhere, which is a good sign. If you can stretch to the £600 price tag it looks like a good buy.Shrinking my mortgage!
