Please excuse the bump but maybe it's just me but I find the deleting of duplicated posts somewhat against the spirit of MSE.
Many of of us have posted duplicates,myself included,so please do not feel ashamed & please do not delete the dupe after the merge is carried out.Deleting it may cause some of us to duplicate our entry.
I'd only noticed this conduct from two members in the past so very surprised to see a long standing member do it.No offence meant to them & I have desire for harsh words to be exchanged.
It may be taken badly by some but I now quote the the name of the duplicate poster when I spot a dupe after seeing such conduct in the past.No offence meant to the dupe posters,as I am one :-(
