Default Notice - getting ready for it!

Sorry if this has been posted before or even if its in the wrong forum.

I'll say breifly but it will probably be long winded.

OK i was bankrupt received automatic discharge set my self up as self employed, so would obviously never pass a credit check or even apply for credit. i got cold called by a firm selling ad words (phone is TPS registered) i received invoice dated 02/11/09 (for 90 days adwords)i cancelled it to the email address they provided on 05/11/09 and canceled the payment at my bank.
on 31/03/10 they sent me an putstanding payment letter and a copy of an invoice for an adwords campaign dated 16/03/10. i obviuosly contacted them and funily enough they claim never to have received the original email even though i had cancelled the payment. i sent proof to the email address they provided this obviously had a from, sent (showing date time) and to (recipients address).
nothing happened i next received letters from debt collection agency, so i contact them tell them i don't have this debt and ask them to prove it, and then sent them details of the proof i cancelled it. they did nothing but send a statement every month. several phone calls from me resulting in 'if you want any money from me take me to court'.
now its sold on to another company and the process starts yet again.

what are my options even though i'm a business i'm a sole trader not a registered company does the consumer credit act apply to me, the default notice threat means nothing as my credit rating is that bad.
