These are good BUT once a tyre is inflated using one of these kits it cannot be repaired, you have to replace it. I have had a nail dead centre which would normally be repairable; however as my car did not have a spare, but just one of these kits, I used it to inflate (which worked well) but then had to shell out £100 for a new tyre.

If you have the option of using a spare, use it rather than one of these kits.

I thought they would be great for a bicycle puncture - when you need to get to work and can't be stuck at home faffing.

True; I'm sure there are good uses, just is just a word of caution for car tyres.

It does work very well, and quick. Mine used the car cigarette lighter input, so for a bike you'd need a means of power if you didn't have a car at home.
