Help please!

Hi there

i have just been accepted for the virgin 0% balance transfer card, i have a £2800 overdraft at stupid interest with Natwest, im sure the guy on the phone said i could transfer this but however browsing through this qulaity site im now really worried as apparently most credit cards dont allow you to do this? i know i will be able to find out when i call them tomorrow but if my worst fears are confirmed is there anyway of gtting this overdraft onto my new 0% card, really would appreciate help , thanks. mike.

  • I can only think if they let you use a 0% (I repeat 0%!!) cheque to pay into Natwest.

    BE CAREFUL though as those cheques can be hideous APR.

    Virgin (which is run by MBNA) will allow balance transfers to your current account.
    Although most CCs don't allow this, MBNA and EGG do so relax and enjoy the 0% but make sure you clear the debt by the time the 0% runs out.
  • lovely! cheers Clapton! can enjoy a lager in peace now! i was wondering whether the guy on the phone was just blagging it, he also said that i could transfer my credit agreement for my laptop and tv from currys onot it as well? £1200 in total , must somehow get rid of these though as whewn the 9 month interest free period is up it goes to 28% interest and u cant settle until 4 years! i wished i found this site years ago but hey ho, learn the hard way i guess, thanks again and happy new year
