Cheap London City Helicopter tour

Options
Hello,

Interested in doing a London City Helicopter tour when down in the city in two weeks. Trying to find the cheapest as im on a budget. Maybe as its January there might be a sale with some companies, or maybe some of you know sites online that sell this, & maybe there even discount codes for helicopter flight expereiences.

Any help in finding the cheapest flight would me much appreciated as i seem hopeles at looking.

Thanks

    Hi

Not sure they do helicopter flights over London - terrorism and too many police helicopters in the skies round here, not to mention that Heathrow and City airports have approach paths through London

The Capital Radio's Flying Eye (plane) has a ceiling (max height) because of the jets, so I doubt you will see much.

Battersea Heliport is the likely place to look - perhaps a Duck tour or a Big Wheel visit would fit into your budget. If you really want to splash out bring a car into the congestion zone and pay late ....
    Rich people save then spend.
Poor people spend then save what's left.
  • hahahahaha too right. CZ cost a fortune if you forget to pay it.
London Eye is fantastic - if u go take a camera - well worth it.

My local airfield, Wycombe Air Park, also known as Booker Airfield, has at least one company which does helicopter tours over London, using a Bell Jetranger which seats, I think, five pax. Can't think of their name offhand, but it shouldn't be hard to find. It's not cheap, of course, no heli tour will be, they are expensive beasts to run.
There is also a company which does flights over London in a vintage Dragon Rapide, you know, biplane, fabric covered, etc., but twin engined. Lovely old things, so stable and the wicker seats are quite comfy. I've flown in these a lot, and love them. Failing that, there are also flights available in a DC3, not quite the vintage feel of the Rapide, but fun nevertheless. I think these are all available in the "red-letter," type experience day thingys. Don't know if they are year-round either, but don't see why not.
