Oh well doesn't look as if the tracker rates are going to fall then!! Wonder if the fixed rates are going to keep falling?

The best thing I ever did was to change to that life long tracker. I've saved thousands.

Looks like even I might see some of these low rates at this rate, which that I don't think they will be 0.5% for 3 years.

The main beneficiaries are pre-crunch buyers on the good deals that are no longer available.

The current level of bank profiteering means new entrants see little of the benefits.

im looking to move when it all settles down, currently on a lifetime +.44 tracker and instead of paying down the mortgage im saving it so i can put it towards a bigger property. Better to save than have to borrow more as the rate im on will never be available again. Already saved £30K hope rates stay low for a couple of more years and prices keep falling. I have more than 50% equity so prices falling are a good thing

Same here. I really can't see the attraction of fixed rates in the current climate.

I agree but there is signs that the profiteering is dropping slightly so I have a good chance of getting a reasonable fix for a while.

Either way the drop in how much I have to pay will help balance off a few years of slightly higher interest rates.

As I say I am not waiting to buy as a speculator I just want a home.
