Craft website

Options
Hi everyone,

Firstly im so sorry as I know this has been on before but after trawling through the threads I cant find it.

Im after some popular crafty websites where people are buying and selling hand made items.

Ive tried googling several search terms but nothing stands out yet a few were mentioned on heere that a lot of people seem to know of???

Im not a fan of ebbay so would prefer not to use that.

Etsy is good but also try "Folksy"

    http://www.folksy.com/

Another really good craft site. Hope this helps.

Plus you could you do local craft fairs as well as selling on line. I find this is a great way to also introduce and promote my shops on folksy and etsy.

Good luck with your venture xx

hey thanks for the replies :)

Etsy isnt for me anyway as the items I will be selling are basic furniture that has been 'funked' up a bit. I am going to set up a fb page I think and then have a link/page on my website.

The items are only low value, for example a set of drawers for £30 as, even though each is individual, most of them are still basically flatpacks that have been modified. Some items will be a bit more 'special' but as its a 'spare time' thing it will be mainly low value.

Im under no illusion and will be making very little profit as it literally is just a hobby for me as ive got loads on workwise

The way ive described it there doesnt really do it justice as its not 'flatpacks' as in ive gone to ikea picked up a cheap set of drawers and painted it. Ive put it like that kind of talking it down a bit as its no where near as fab as many of the items you can get but there is still a lot of hard work and creativity gone into it. hmmmm jibbering now

Why don't you try 'crafts fair online', may be you can find there what you are looking for.

  • ETSY!!!!!! It's awesome and a great community if you get involved. Lots of people sell furniture on there too, I think you'd have the perfect showcase for it personally
