And what a dreadful, irresponsible attitude to debt too!
ETA:
I'd hang onto the £1K savings until the 0% deal on the c/c finishes then pay that £1K off.
If she's careful about fuel costs in the 6 week holidays, she may save around £150 over that period.
If she can get a part-time job during the holidays, she can throw all that spare cash at her debt.
Could she sign up with a temping agency?
Whatever she does, if she ends up paying interest on her c/c after the 0% ends (i.e. she can't negotiate another deal or switch again), she must pay more than the minimum amount each month.
And - does she have anything that she no longer wants/needs/uses that she could sell on ebay?0
