Some preemie ones on there if you have a look through, mainly from what I remember from when my son was in SCBU they go through a lot of little hats and most newborn hats are too big for them. Might be worth ringing the local SCBU to find out what they are short of. Maybe hats, booties, mitts etc. A lot spend a lot of time naked apart from a loose nappy when being treated etc, my son wasn't allowed clothes on apart from his little hat until 2 days before he came home. One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks lil-me, I've just got back into knitting and was thinking about knitting stuff for my local SCBU - never stopped to think that tiny-peeps need their extremities covered rather than needing coats. And caps, booties and mittens are a lot easier and quicker than jackets!

It's always worth calling to see what they need of course, some may take care of the much less poorly and on the mend little ones who just need a little more medical care who can be dressed, but usually it's pretty warm in the SCBU anyway. I know the nurses where my son was were always overwhelmed with donations of certain things but none of others. One day I might be more organised...........
