Recycling old textiles

Does anyone know where I can recycle old textiles? I need to get rid of very old sheets towels and clothing, none of which would be suitable for a charity shop, its pretty much old rags.
It seems a shame to just put it all in the bin, can I take these to recycle anywhere?

Speak to local charity shops in your area I know that several of ours actually sell on anything that isnt good enough for them to resell to the rag man and make money from it that way and so would probably be very glad of the donation.0

Most local authority amenity sites have clothing / textile banks.
Some supermarket recyling centres have them as well.0 -
Had to laugh.
In naturist circles, the word "textile" refers to non-naturists.
I was imagining a bunch of old (clothed) people waiting on the beach front next to the recycling bin!We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Or you could turn them into reusable shopping bags :-)0

Cancer research shops take them, if you bag them up and take them to the shop, and mark the bag as "rag" or "for recycling" - they take shoes, towels, clothing, sheets etc, but not duvets
Probably best to give them a ring first and check tho'0
