I got one of these sort of things in Poundland, but it's rubbish.Sound quality is appalling. Hope the Currys one is better.

I have used the one from Dixons, and it is totally fine, so you needn't worry about the quality.

And I've been using this type of cassette for years without any issues.... the only reason I bought another one was that I gave my old one to my dad.

And if you don't like going into town when it's crowded.... as I said in my original post, 97p seems to be the normal price (not a reduction), so you could wait until the crowds die down.

I went in, the only ones they had were white "logik" ones and after I couldn't find one, told them to hunt me one out, it was 9.99 aaaaahhhhh.

Which ones are you talking about, describe colour, brand

The .97 usually indicates a clearance price so I very much doubt its "97p seems to be the normal price"

I purchased mine yesterday from Currys Digital in Swansea - they had a few there but with no price on them but went through at 97p. Can't fault that - as the ones that had ipod written on them were £14.99 and they had no ipod holder with them !

Saeed they are black and have a black holder with them - they were not with the ipod ones or the white logik ones for some reason they were on row behind in the currys I went too.. I took a while to find them and nearly gave up before I got one - hope this help you find one too...

In Currys Digital, they were being hung on the wall to the side of the till, amongst all the headphones etc.

I have also spotted these in Currys (ie, normal Currys, not Dixons!) for the same price.... there were in a basket in front of the till.

I appreciate they could be in different places in different stores, but that's where I found them.

    Thanks, original poster.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, and can't go wrong for under a quid.
  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, but will this item work with any mp3 player??

Yes, it will work with anything that has a headphone socket.
  • Nice one, thanks!
