SMP saga continues....

For those who didn't read my last post from about 3 weeks ago about my employer ending my fixed term contract on maternity leave.....well I am still no further forward with regards to my SMP pay.

I received my final payslip today and have received my SMP + holidays owed....but I am still entitled to SMP until November. I've had so much conflicting advice from ACAS, work, GMB,HMRC, etc........can anyone please clear up for me where/who I will receive my remaining SMP from?

Should I be getting in contact with payroll and telling them they pay it? Or do I claim it from HMRC as they seem to think my work pay it?

Sorry to go on about it but it quite a bit of money that we could do with!

thank you xx

Your old employer is responsible for continuing to pay your SMP.

Have you written to them asking for a written statement and SMP1 form as I detailed in your last thread.

    Hello Tizerbelle :-)

yes I emailed HR and sent them a letter registered post, like you said. I received a letter back just stating the date my contract ended, no reason why and nothing about the SMP x

shall I step it up a notch?
