Hi,
Barclaycard 13,651.66
received letter from Credit Solutions Ltd with generous offer.
Phoned up to ask what offer was.
CSL would settle for 7650
I said father in law can help up to 4100
CSL said can I give more.
I said 4400 and said i could not then settle my other creditor.
They said it they cant go below 5000.
I said I would have to ask my father in law.
CSL said they would hold offer at 5000 and will call me Thursday.
Tomorrow, (thursday), I want to say my father in law can only go to 4800 but am scared CSL will say no and put settlement figure back up to 7650.
P.S Don't worry, what we verbally agree I will get in writing with all the other bits like settled flag on credit file, no more chasing for balance etc included before I pay anything.
Should I risk sticking to a lower offer and CSL refusing then putting the settlement figure back up high again?

If I am in mid negotiation with a DCA (CSL for a Barclaycard debt) would they refuse my low offer and withdraw their offer altogether.
Has anyone had Full & final offers rejected and then a few months later tried again and have then been accepted?
DEBT = 13651
DCA offered to settle at 7650
I could only offer 4100
They pushed for more
I went up to 4400
They came down to 5000
I am able to go up to 4680 but am worried they will refuse AND withdraw altogether. I am reluctant to wait 6 months making token payments and then trying again.0
