Need some advice please

Hi, really need some advice please, I have written to a creditor and asked for a copy of the credit agreement, sent a £1 with template letter.

I have just received their reply.....they are asking for proof of address and list a number of acceptable ways to do so bank statement, tv licence etc etc.......bearing in mind they have been collecting money from me for the last 4 years, this sounds abit strange.

My gut feeling says dont send it, but where do i stand legally??

Thank you

I would be inclined not to send it.

Do they currently write to you at this address? (not this one letter but usually). Is it a different address than where you took out the agreement? Are you on the electoral roll?

Hi thanks for your help, I dont think i have ever received anything from the actual company that "owns" the debt, but the debt collection company send statements etc to me at my address. im at the same address as where it took the agreement out (although i will be disputing the debt as the accounts do not correspond), yep im on the eletrol roll, always have been. been at the same address for over 11 years.

What do i do when the 12 days are up?
