Hi everyone - does anyone know of any sites that will donate raffle prizes for a charity quiz night - my friend recovered from Leukaemia about 6 or 7 years ago and since then his family have held a quiz night with all proceeds going to the Leukaemia trust fund to help others.........any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks in advance

I would suggest writing to the companies direct, its a bit long winded but a few years ago a friend of mine wanted to raise some money for charity and we sat down and wrote to the local businesses to see if they would like to donate anything and also some of the big names like Debenhams and BHS. It was near Christmas time and I remember one of the departmental stores donated a load of Christmas decorations.
We found the best donations came from the local businesses (as I recall we got quite a few bottles of wine donated)

Write a nice begging letter or email to local companies, or direct to the local branches of big companies, make sure you include the cause you are raising money for and a how the donation would be used and how you would advertise there donation, ie on the program, poster etc.:hello:0

I agree I would write to companies in your local area. I think you will a better response than emailing websites. We did a similar thing a few years ago and we had some very generous donations from some big and small local companies. We made sure we got the local newspaper involved and gave all the companies some good publicity in our article. Good luck. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0
