Uni & Enhanced CRB

Hi All,

Just a quickie for you. I'm off tomorrow to complete all the paperwork for my place on an Occupational Therapy BSc ECRB.

Before I began the application process for uni I was caught by a camera doing 60mph in a 50mph zone (my bad, it was the first time I'd driven down the road after they'd changed the limit and didn't spot the sign). I was given (and took) the option of going on a speeding course rather than get 3 points and a fine.

As my course is a health profession and has diddlysquat to do with driving, I have no other dealings with the police (except as a victim) and am a good little girl really, will this show up? If it does, will they care? I've gone through ECRBs before and nothing has ever shown up (not that it would as like I said, this was my one and only ever experience of being on the wrong side of the cops!) so I know how the process works.

I don't know if it's classed as a conviction because I didn't get any points or a fine....

I think I will ask when I go in tomorrow whether or not I should put it down and see what they say. But wanted to hear if you all thought it was worth even bringing up?!

Thanks!

You'll be fine, i've got an SP30 on my license (April 2009) and even managed to get myself wrongly arrested for armed robbery (January 2010) and my Enhanced CRB came back clean in April this year

Going on the speed course means you keep a clean licence and a clean record (although speeding doesn't show on a CRB anyway).

I recently had to fill in an addendum to my CRB asking if I'd been convicted of anythig else since my CRB check was done and it specially says speeding is not included
