If it's accidental damage on your car insurance that you've not taken up, can you afford if your car is broken into, but not stolen, or are you able to do without the car until you've saved enough to repair it? IMO it's better to take out as many extras with your car insurance as you can.
My insurance has jumped to £61 per month including breakdown, but it means I'm covered for almost every possible outcome.

£350 a month on groceries :eek:is horrendously high, this could be halved if there are only 3 of you,

£120 for clothing, nobody needs to spend that much on clothing a month surely. I'd probably spend that much in a year.

This is an SOA for BR, not for trying to save money. I don`t think £11.50 a day for 3 people is horrendously high, this includes everything not just food.

lala, my OR accepted £500 for 2 adults and a teenager, no questions asked, but that was before they introduced the new rule for IPA`s.

I took it to mean the difference between TPFT and Fully Comp, as FC usually includes accidental damage / damage to your own vehicle...but if I'm wrong I apologise.
