Hi guys,
Im just wondering how you see your credit score for free preferably. I see these adverts on tv saying you can get a free 30 day trial, however ive heard that they still charge you.
Is it really possible to see it for free?
Thanks

You can sign up for a free trial with one of the credit reference agencies which will allow you to see your credit report. Some will include a 'credit score', other require you to pay extra to see that bit of information.
The 'credit score' that a cra has for you doesn't really mean a lot though and you shouldn't make any assumptions about your ability to get credit on the basis of their score. Every lender has their own way of scoring potential borrowers and their own appetite for risk...so even if equifax says you have an excellent credit score lenders may turn you down (and visa versa)
ETA: if you do sign up for a free trial, they usually make you provide CC/billing details when you sign up. Make sure you put a note in your diary or somewhere to remind you to cancel the membership before the trial is up, otherwise you'll automatically be billed!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
