  • Hello!

I found cheeky wipes very expensive for what they are. I'm lucky to live up the road from a nappy advisor who has her own business (Please PM me if you would like the website to buy from or to join the private FB group of her shop, great for real nappy advice!), and we got our terry wipes from her, supplied by a local WAHM with gorgeous prints, much nicer to look at than CW and cheaper too :) We also have a stash of 'baby wash cloths' from the pound shop, five for a quid, and these do hands and faces a treat :) I don't want to post a link on here in case anyone thinks it's my business (it isn't), but Lisa is the BEST person to speak to on cloth nappies, saved me a fortune in bad choices, lol.

We use eco balls for our nappies, as most people have to strip wash nappies after a while using either gloop or detergent - none of that for us, and it saves us time and money making/buying detergent.

And don't forget to buy a wet bag, I recommend one with a seperate pouch for wipes, less faffing :)

I use pocket nappies (plastic lined, with removable inserts). I wash the whole lot (no soaking) with a small amount of bio powder on my machine's 60 degree synthetics wash, extra rinse, then dry them on the line. No smell, no stains, no problem. I started washing them at 40 as that's what they say on them but I found I had wee smell problems, 60 hasn't done my nappies any harm. Obviously different types require different washing procedures, I can't boil wash mine due to the PVC lining.

I bought the cheap ebay pockets for about £5 each, with extra bamboo inserts I bought seperately they are fabulous. Better than the £15 each Thirsties I also have.
