Mistake on CV - What to do?

I helped my partner complete a CV last night and only just noticed the 'mistake'.
When filling out the dates of employment, I put the start date and 'Present' as the 'To' Date. Now that I look over the application which is 'in progress', I see that 'present' isn't there, and it's just blank. It was an online application form that generates the input info into a table.
Should I do something? Like email the company directly to clarify as this might hamper the application because they may think he's been out of work for 7 years instead of in work, or will they take 'blank space' as an indication that there has been no end date in that employment.
Last night I thought he had a very good chance, now I think I just blew it for him....

You could email but I would see it as still in employment as there is effectively no end date.0

I'd think the same but if you're worried get your partner to email them (not you) just to be very clear.0

Thank you for the replies, I would hope they do see it as 'no end date'. He doesn't want to bug them incase it puts them off. The application is still 'progressing' and was not immediately denied, maybe he should leave it until he hears from them?
We are relatively new to the application process as he's never been out of work and I'm self employed so never really had to apply for anything. It's scary!0 -
I know, it really is!!
Best of luck to your partner!0
