'not updated' on credit reports

Just been looking at credit reports on old settled accounts, on some there is the letter U under the months of the credit agreements 'u=not updated' what does this mean? totally baffled by it, also have 3 for the 1st 3 months my loan was started even tho its always been paid on time in full?

apologies if this is in the wrong section

U is often used when a new account has been opened and no payments made yet. It also might be used if a creditor doesn't update your credit file for some reason in a particular month.

The 3s for the loan don't sound right though - I would contact the loan company and check there is no problem and ask them to correct the entries on your credit files.

Depending on who your CR is with, you need to raise a dispute!
Do you have proof you paid on time, bank statements etc? If so then call the loan company and talk to them about it, they can change it.

I have U's on my loan too - Did you have a deal where you 'pay nothing for the first 3 months'? I did - I took the loan out in June but didn't start paying it back til September so the first 3 months there's no info. If that's the case then I wouldn't worry about it :) xxx
