Applied for a engineering job which I would have to go for a assessment which would involve dexterity test and logic puzzles.
Does anybody know of a way to practise these type of tasks or where I could find out more information.

Hello dbs
Your test/examination could be something like the Morrisby Profile. They have a practise set of questions on their website, the link is here. I was subjected to a full day of 'role play', examinations (including the Morrisby profile) and interviews before being offered a position with a company.
Remember that you are entitled to ask for some feedback on your examination results/performance. I asked for feedback, even though I subsequently turned down their job offer.:D
It is very useful information to learn your strengths and weaknesses for future employment opportunities.;)
Good luck with the interview and tests, I hope you're successful.

You can buy 'mensa'-style puzzle books from WH Smith to help you practice for IQ tests. I keep seeing that advertisement for a 'brain academy' computer game that sounds similar. If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0

I had an interview at a large software employer a while ago. I had to do a 'lego test'.
This consisted of being shown a unauthodox lego model composed of 12 pieces. You then had to instruct the interviewer on how to reproduce the model using an identical set of pieces.
Problem is they had their back to you, and you couldn't see how they were putting it together and had to wait until the end to see how you'd done.
Suprisingly tricky.0
