He told me just before the 12th that he was going on (I think) 2 weeks holidays, so I would imagine he'll re-open in the next few days.

The In shops is your best bet. I got one replaced there recently. Its at the high street entrance and if the watchmakers is closed the jewellers facing it replaces them too quite cheaply
