New Cooker for £50? Wishful thinking?

Hi My dearest (?!) one has set me a challenge. If I can find a new cooker with a fan oven and a gas hob for £50 of under, then I can have it.

I guess he's banking on the fact that it can't be done. I've looked on ebay. There are some cookers but I need to have a cooker that has a width of no more than 50cm and I haven't seen any of these that are in my restricted price range.

Does anyone have any ideas? I know it is wishful thinking but I'm fed up with flat sponges and raw turkey!! Not at the same time of course but if I have to put up with this cooker any longer, it could be tonights' dinner.

Could you just get a "service" done on your old cooker?

If its electric, a new filament (sp?) might do the job?
