Vanishing own brands?? !!

I have noticed a worrying amount of the basic smart price own brand labels vanishing from the shelves of Asda and Tesco.

The most noticable one is the low fat margerine, I really resent paying over a quid for a tub of low fat marge when I used to be paying about 29p

Does anyone know where I can now buy low fat marge at a sensible price? This is an everyday item that is costing me extra every week :mad:

Because they don't make as much profit on them as they do other brands.

So it's simple, stop selling the 29p spread and you will buy the 50p spread (or eat dry bread).

I know some people will come in and say "Not me, I stocked up and have a ten year supply of 29p spread" and others will say "Not me, if I can't get it at 29p I just walk out the shop".

But they are the minority, most people, if they can't get the cheapest will buy the second cheapest. If the 29p spread is discontinued, so the cheapest spread in the shop is now the 50p spread, that's what they will buy.
