Seems a good idea, Eskimo, thanks! If anyone is looking for further information on Avon, there's an excellent thread here on MSE too - Avon Hints and Tips (now on it's 7th thread).

Basically, being an Avon rep helps subsidise your household expenditure via discounted/free goods and also commission on your own sales. With a lot of hard work, however, if you want to earn some serious money, you can go the Sales Leadership route and build up your own team, earning commission based on your team's nett sales. It's not easy and deffo not a 'get rich quick scheme' but there are two well publicised success stories that can easily be searched via the Net: Debbie Davies and David Carter (one team - earnings exceeded £1m last year) and Gail and Brian Reynolds (recently in the Dorset Echo - their Avon business was valued @ £5.5 million but their income is way less that Debbie and David's business so goodness only knows how much their Avon business is worth). Has taken both teams 10-12 years to get to that point but just goes to show that it IS possible. :T

Have no personal experience but my friend's daughter does both Pampered Chef and Avon, the thought process being that they will help each other. General feedback in this part of the world is that PC is a bit 'pricey' - great quality but her Avon business is proving more fruitful for her. Am guessing a lot will depend on where you live in the UK.

    Good luck!
