Do you pay mortgage interest on non-working days?

Hello,

My mortgage completed last Friday but I only completed today (Monday). Can I check if the bank in general (Woolwich in particular) charges mortgage interest on non-working days?

I have heard different versions of the story.

    Unfortunately when calculating interest charges everyday is a working one.

    There's no allowance for weekends, statutory holiday, bank holiday, maternity or paternity leave, nor sickness.

    although it would not be a complete surprise if some mortgagees wanted time off for sickness, holidays, paternity leave etc lol
