Moving jobs

Wasn't sure where to put this so here goes.

I'm moving job, yay. Promotion and pay rise. Which is good, obviously. The problem I'm faced with is my changing pay date.

I'm currently paid on the 22nd every month for the month I'm paid in. So I get paid July 22nd which assumes I have worked the whole of July.
My new job, I get paid on the last day of the month. Which is fine, apart from all my direct debits are on or after the 22nd and most charge to change this.

If I change after I've paid, I'll pay again in as little as a week. I don't mind paying that way, but I'd have to borrow £500 from savings to act as a buffer, and pay it back. What I don't get, is where would I see that money come back again? The direct debit amounts don't actually go up, so I'm not actually paying more, but I can't figure out where it would come back to me.

Thanks

So you are bring the DD's forward and want to know how you get the extra "back"? You will simply finish paying the things off quicker so for a loan you settle it earlier. For something like insurance you finish payment quicker then a short break until the policy renews and then normal.
