More likely they are taking pre orders or fullfilling orders allready taking. And telling people these things so as not to get there hopes up of getting one.
Whats the big deal anyways, its only a games consoleMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Boxing is the only game in wii sports you need the nunchuck so if you want to fight each other you need to buy an extra remote and a nunchuck as you get 1 of each in the console pack
I believe the lady mentioned she would be buying Wii Play which includes an extra Wii Remote for free. Also I believe that Toys R us have plenty of The Nun Chucks in stock and are charging £14.99 for them.
The easiest place to get a Wii is, as I still believe, Game. You have to ring up as they are recieving stock everyday and ask them to put you one aside. If you go into the store and ask for them they will just tell you they have none
Hope this helps0 -

It's an additional gimmick.0 -
Hi
I just called John Lewis. The woman said that they were allocated 3000 consoles but they sold out almost immediately. She also mentioned that they won't be selling them online anymore.
I asked if they'd had their 3000 and she said yes.
So I suppose untill people arent so desperate for them, maybe they won't be getting anymore in..? Or did she just fob me off..?0 -

That wasn't my experience, when I phoned Game they said they werent able to put one aside for me, it was first come, first served.
I dashed down there and managed to get one, and the next person being served also enquired if they had any more and she was told "just a couple now".0 -

You need it to play quite a lot of the bought games. I have Zelda and the stick on the nunchuck is used to moveyour character around - I think that is why it is on the nunchuck.0 -

Indeed. Rayman uses it, and Boxing in Wii Sports too for example. Gimmick it is not.0 -

She's not quite got her facts right: JohnLewis.com are due to receive a further 142 consoles today or tomorrow. John Lewis as a whole has only had 475 consoles which did all sell immediately.
A further 1500 consoles are overdue from Nintendo.0 -
John Lewis had more on this morning about 8.25. As did Play.com. The threads were posted here but have since been moved to gone etc."I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle.
