CCJ removal?

I'm not sure if this is in the right place but will ask anyway.
I have a friend who has a CCJ on his credit score. It has been paid off in full but has not been removed from Equifax.
Does anyone know how he can remove it, bearing in mind the debt is fully paid off?
Thanks in advance

From the Equifax website:Judgments/Decrees are held on file for 6 years from the date of Judgment, even if it is satisfied/paid. However, if you satisfy or pay the Judgment / Decree within a month of the judgment being issued, it can be removed from the Register and your credit file.

If the order was correctly issued (and mindful that your friends has paid it, one has to presume it was) then the CCJ will remain on his file for 6 years from the date of order, (unless it was paid in full within 28 days of order) if it has been paid in full after the 28 days then he may apply to the court for a certificate of satisfaction, which will be noted next to the CCJ on his file, and this will slightly lessen the negative impact it has ( although not by much) It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0

The entry naturally expires from the credit file after 6 years, however if any payment has been made within this time then the the orginal order is still valid and it can be re-instated to the file (Subject to the provisions of S.24 of the limitations act.) It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0
