Capquest

Mackenzie hall have just passed the debt they were collecting back to Capquest.

Capquest told them they bought the debt from shop direct finical services in 2007.

Spoke to shop direct finical services who said debt was sold in 1997 to a debt collection agency and it wasn't Capquest.

Capquest have requested info from shop direct finical services.

Debt is well and truly statue barred since 2003
so do Capquest have a chance in getting the money?

They are legally allowed to ask for payment, until such time as you tell them you are not paying, in writing.

I've told them I'm not paying because the debt is statue barred.

Debt was £1100 and they added fees and the debt is now £2200.

Capquest are greedy people who don't pay tax so its all a massive profit for them.

I know they cant take me to court and they can ask me to pay but I've told them no so i don't think they can do anything else apart from re sell it on.

    Hi Boogiemaster,

Don't sign anything with your normal signature and don't pay etc as the debt is statute barred. I'm surprised Muck hall didn't try to collect the debt though, but deal with them only in writing.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
