Old credit card - again....

Hi again,
I just received my final credit file, i have one from experian, equifax and check my file.... and they are all clear, none of them even mention the old credit card i am being asked to pay by lewells DCA....
Are there any other credit reports to check? and if not what would you suggest i do now? Like i said in my last post, if i do have to pay this i will do over a number of years but if there is any way that i don't have to then that would be such a relief.
Thanks

Hello there
I have not seen your previous posts so sorry if I am asking somehting you answered before. Have you had contact with the credit card company in the last 6 years? If yes, then the debt has to be paid. If not, then I understand it cannot be enforced.
Credit reports, in my experience, do not include everything anyway so best not to use them as an absolute guide.
Best of luck!Leason learnt :beer:0 -
ask the DCA for a copy of the credit agreement as well - if they havnt got it, they cant enforce it.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

CallCredit is the 3rd agency. Not as popular as Experian or Equifax. Check My File isn't a credit agency but i believe it pools the info from the 3 aforementioned agencies0

Yes you're right, wish i had gone to check my file 1st as it would have only cost me £16 to check all 3, i instead paid for experian and equifax seperately then found 'check my file'! grr...0 -
It should only cost you £2 to get a hard copy of your credit file from the agencies. Don't get fooled into paying money for 'credit scores' as these are a worthless gimmick. You just need the facts that the £2 hard copy provides
