You can usually pick a 12 month subscription up on ebay for cheaper. I picked mine up a couple of months ago for £20. Most sellers will email you the code so no P&P costs too usually.
I did a quick check and seen a few for £30 but demand is probably high just now with it being after xmas. Check the worldwide sellers too.

Mate of mine used ebay to buy his 12 mths and was sent a code that did`nt work.
After 4 emails to the seller he changed his seller name and no longer sells on ebay.
So beware of buying from ebay , he lost £25

you can but the xbox starter kit for the original xbox which includes 12 months live subscrition - when using the code for the 360 however, this is 12 months gold live subscription. £19,99 usually on the low shelves, bargain bins etc.

Check out ebay in america for cheap xbox live, i bought 12 months for £15 and got the code 13 minutes after i made the sale!

Ditto - I got one for $30 which is abount £16. Ebay seller was Netdirectbargains...

be very wary about Netdirectbargains .. seem VERY variable

they didn't send my code until I started a Paypal dispute ...

wouldn't even answer any emails ... this was over 3-4 days ...

did Paypal dispute and received code within 2 hours of starting dispute ...

Netdirectbargains stated that they had sent me the code and it must be in my Spam folder .... NOPE ! I don't delete my spam folder, and nothing was in there.

Exact same excuse to others on AVforums ... seems they try and not send the code to some, so they can re-sell it and hope people forget about it ...

Yes they work on UK consoles and I had no problems, received the code 15mins after paying by Paypal...
