If I was them I'd get out of the BTL business completely, its a poor mans business. Who needs all that hassle when there are far better returns to be had from much easier investments.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0

I think they will regret having gone public with their win .... they will be hounded relentlessly now....0

Indeed just look at some of the typical Sun like comments on here! I say good on them - just hope they do some good with the money. That sort of cash when you don't wiosh for a lot yourself can do some serious good0

To be honest if I had some BTL properties and they had lived there a good few years and been good tenants and I then won that much I would either.
Sign the properties over to them.

Hah!
You're missing the pearls of wisdom from the Two Ronnies [one of their many 'tramp' sketches]. As I recall it.....
Tramp Ronnie Barker: "If I was as rich as Jean Paul Getty, I'd actually be richer."
Tramp Ronnie Corbett: "'Ow do yer work that out then?"
Tramp Ronnie Barker: "cos unlike 'im, I'd carry on cleaning windows."0 -

They won't need that after all the leeches and vultures have had their fill, why did they go public?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Foolish people going public and selfish on the family who will also likely get hounded. Great win though, hope it makes them happy (or happier).I'm retiring at 55. You can but dream.0

Good luck to them.. I think if my parents had won it would of been similar, i can just image her... new car, what you need a new car for, that one is only four years old and is fine... new house.... no i like where i live, I might get the side garden improved.. maybe some lavender and some alpines.. ok i suppose you can have a new lawnmower.. but only in the sale.

They're absolutely crazy.
My heavily pregnant wife was mugged* for a cheap mobile phone. What do you think people would be prepared to do to them for a few million quid?
I guess they wanted to celebrate it publicly rather than keeping it quiet. I think they'll regret the decision. Anyone remember that French bloke in London that bought the restaurant he was working in and ended up being hounded out of the country?
I hope the win brings them some happiness however. Congrats to them.
*slightly melodramatic word to describe what happened but strictly accurate I guess0
