Hi, this is my first thread so apologies if it has been asked elsewhere. I have a Chinese Pear tree in my new garden and absolutely no idea what to do with them.
Would I just use them as I would crab apples and make a pie?
Hope someone can help
Thank you

I think the problem is that they are all asian salad recipes. From the description they look like they would be best just eaten as a fruit.
If I had a glut, I would probably stew and then freeze in small portions. Or preserve in alcohol as Christmas gifts.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Last year we only had 1 Chinese Pear. This year so far, the tree is covered in them, but everyday there are more and more on the floor. I dont really like the taste of them 'raw' as they are quite hard and have a strange texture! Its kind of an apple but with a slight pear flavour. My OH loves them though so thought I would try and do something with them instead of letting them go to wastePink-winged wrote: »
