right i would like to join in to this but how does it work?

am i mean tto stick to the lists that are put up or can i tweak it or just put up my own personal schedule and go with that?

i really need to keep ontop of the housework i keep on letting it slide. i can be such a clean freak but life gets in the way and i want to unleash my OCD cleaning nut again!

    today i have
    1) tidied both mine and the boys bedrooms and hoovered them
2)swept and mopped the bathroom and done a quick go-over the sink bath and toilet
    3)hoovered the stairs and hall
4)hoovered the living room and dining room
5)swept and mopped the kitchen and cleaned the grill pan (most hated job esp as i did bacon this morning and gammon steaks at tea time!)
6)im away to do a load of ironing while i wait for a friend to come round with alcohol and munchies haha

Gilly, its all on page 1 :) every night Pigpen posts a list of tasks for the following day, levels 1, 2, and 3 with some extras thrown in, we get 5 lists a week and the order and tasks changes each week. Aim for level 1 each week, then level 2 and then level 3 as the first couple of weeks are hard going, once you've done the first few weeks everythign doesnt take as long to do as its just maintenance rather than deep cleaning.

Dont try catching up on the rooms/tasks that you've missed, just grab 1 list and aim for level 1 and next week join in right from the begining and it will after a few weeks fall into place. some of us add in extra tasks or work a week behind, but you will find your own way after a few weeks of what works best for you and your boys.

ah ok. i did read page 1 but i wasnt too sure if we could each do our own or we are meant to do what was listed.

i look forward to trying this out to see if it keeps me ontop of the house!

Would you like to borrow Noel? He only has 1 tooth so won't damage it..

  • Evening all and *hugs* to those that need it :(

Had a bit of a flying session for the last half hour (not really a HHC, just took me a while to do the crabby kitchen!

I think I'm going potty. I had a dream last night about chasing next door's cat around the garden (it keeps on pooping in the garden in real life). Then when I woke up this morning, went downstairs, opened the kitchen curtains and there it was; staring at me from their wall! I think it knows its getting to me! :o

Aaanyway... a bit of flying done today, but not much other than dailies really as need to focus on packing for hols on friday (which I need to do...now!)

    so ttfn!xxx

ps. I'm up for a HHC in a bit if anyone else is?

Im going to go and take a box of dvds downstairs with me and put it away in the dvd cabinet then have some dinner, ive sorted out a couple more boxes in the spare room and have increased my shredding and filing pile massivly, but the electric stuff is now onto box 4 which i am really not happy about. have filled 2 binbags of crap as well whilst ive been in here today, so lists have been neglected in favour of decluttering the spare room.
  • Gilly - welcome, some good advice already but just start with the level ones and don't beat yourself up if you miss something or can't finish everything - it will come around again next week. The ladies here are a friendly bunch if you need advice. I started about 8 weeks ago but can't join every week because of travelling so have probably done 4 or 5 weeks and my house looks much better.

Froddington - happy birthday, hope you've had a lovely day.

I've had a productive day but didn't get much done yesterday. I will try catching up tomorrow.

    Well I've done b*gger all today :o

I've had the most awful day and spent alot of it tears. The Dr has signed me off work for another 4 weeks and changed my meds, I'm now on Fluoxetine. I really hope they do something :(
I think I'll have to give the DD's some more jobs to do or I'll never catch up.
Off to work out something for dinner then I might do some jobs :o
It will take your meds at least 3-6 weeks to really take effect so dont be looking for overnight changes
Wendywitch having had Fluoxetine myself in the past, I can confirm what Toots says; they take a wee while to build up in your system, but hopefully will then help you. Meanwhile, have a Wolfy (((HUG))) to be going on with.:o

    Beading removed
    Dinner cooked and scoffed.
Ankles hugely swollen.. very dainty they don't look!
I suppose there's no point suggesting you put your feet up and direct operations from the sofa? No? OK, ankles-going-back-to-normal vibes it is, then.;)

Listy all done (heh heh, a lot of it was done at the weekend, and some even before that - I love Master Bedroom day):p

    Wednesday ~ Master bedroom!
    Level One
Declutter the floor and vacuum it!
Done; no clutter to start with, vacuumed by Mr LW:A
Empty the bin and take ALL the dirty laundry to be washed! Done
    Eat 2 more juicy frogs!
Wash clothes that have to be hand-washed FROG EATEN! It's only ever my stuff that needs hand-washing, so as I tend to give Mr LW's stuff precedence, it lurks at the bottom of the wash-bin until it turns into a giant Frog, albeit a rather psychedelic one!:D
Find a home for laminated pictures that used to be on kitchen and bathroom doors (they can't go on the new ones for fear of ruining the wood) FROG EATEN!
    Level Two
Strip the bedding wash and replace... BEFORE bedtime!!!
    Done Saturday (regular day):p
Vacuum and turn mattress if it hasn't been done in a while Done Saturday (regular day):p
