    There's slight variations per store, but as a general rule - Metro, Superstores & Extra's are on the same pay scale.

    Express stores are different, the basic pay is less, however there are chances to earn 15% bonus of your weekly pay every week, which makes it better paying if you hit the targets (IIRC the targets are sales, waste and shrink only).

    Ok sorry another question. Has anyone applied on-line? I submitted an application on sunday but have heard nothing back not even an automated reply to say they have recieved my application. Is this normal?

    Where did you apply on line as I couldn't see anything except management jobs online, jobs I've applied for have been on paper forms

    The ad i have seen for an express store lists the hourly pay as £6.63.
