The job starts in Sep, can you sign onto JSA till then?

I'm curious to know.

You've had the interview, got the job, the job starts in September.

Can you sign on to JSA (make a new claim), even though the job starts in September?

Is that allowed?

As long as you are looking for work which you could do in the meantime or in place of the September start job, you can claim JSA. That is if you hadn't resigned from another job in anticipation of the September start.

    +1 for what LittleVoice said.

Given that JSA stands for Job Seekers Allowance, are you still actively seeking a job?

    Thanks,

I had to sign off JSA, as one week I was going to work over 16 hours a week (they'll close the claim if that happens).

I got a job which starts in September.

I'm well versed with JSA, it just crossed my mind, whether to sign on again and of course actively seek work (even though I start in Sept).

Yes sign on, the job could fall through for a number of reasons.
