It will have to be reheated in the microwave as thats all he has available at work. (I will defrost first)
So far all I cook him is pizzas (which to me is disgusting reheated but he likes them!)
Corned beef and potatoe pie
and thats it. I need to save money so inspiration would be greatly recieved :j

Soup is always good for these sorts of things.
Anything like curry and rich, pasta with a sauce would work.
PS- if you cook pasta to reheat always mix a bit of butter through it when you drain it as that will stop it going like a glueed up ball when it is reheated.:beer:0 -
Jacket Potatoes always reheat well and you can put beans, chilli sauce, basic Boleneese sauce, basic curry sauce, cheese( put it in a little box for after the pot is reheated though)-- all for a few p a meal.:beer:0

There must be others about that know the Links to lots of other curry sauce things.

that is a more straight forward one. You could just use a few veg in it instead of Chicken. Onions, apple, carrots, leeks, peppers--- any veg will go in curry, whatever is to hand.:beer:0 -
I batch cook lasagne. It freezes well.
Also quick chicken curry (serves 4)
1 onion chopped
2 tbsp curry paste (I like madras, but it's hot)
4 tomatoes chopped
4 chicken breasts (or thighs) - skin removed - leave whole or chop
100g spinach
4tbsp plain yogurt
a handful fresh coriander (or 1 tsp dried)
Fry onion for about 3 minutes (till soft). Stir in curry paste and fry for 1 minute. Add chicken and tomatoes and a splash of water. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
Stir in the spinach until it wilts, then stir in the yogurt and coriander.
Serve with rice, naan bread or salad.
This recipe is great without the yogurt as well (i am not sure that the yogurt will freeze well?)Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0 -

The trouble with that is that White sauce in lasagne might not reheat well as the flour in th sauce goes all gluey when reheated.:beer:0 -

That is okay then! But in ready meals they have to use a special flour to make sure the sauces dont get wrecked on reheating.:beer:0 -

Ah, that's the difference then - I make my own lasagne from scratch - it's great reheated :TSave the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0
