It's all in the title really, my new sofa stinks of wet dog after a relative popped in for a cuppa and her wet mutt jump on my sofa, now I can smell it all the time.
I've tried Fabreezing it LOTS, but to no avail, I was thinking of washing all the cushion covers but the care label says not to wash only to use damp sponge. Anyone any suggestions?

If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x

Make a spray of water and essential oils? Sprinkle DRY sofa with bicarb and vacuum?
Please let me know how it goes. Some friend! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
I am taking it from your posting that you have a fabric sofa. As suggested previously your best option is to sprinkle it with bicarbonate of soda, then with a nail brush gently rub it and work it into the fabric, you might have to do this a couple of times! Leave it for a couple of hours and then with your soft brush attachment vacuum it off.
That should be enough to take off the wet dog smell. I have two dogs a black lab and a springer and I would go bananas at them if they even thought about going up onto a friends sofa. In fact, the decent thing is they should have remained either in your kitchen or outside!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Or you can spray with diluted vinegar. As the vinegar smell evapourates it takes other pongs with it.The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

Have you got a steam cleaner? I do my fabric sofa about once a month to keep it fresh smelling (I've got dogs and cats). Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0
