Removing labels

My son has recently picked up his new car. The dealer has put large advertising labels on the back window and also a smaller one on the windscreen. The one on the back window has been put over the heating element. We have tried to pick them off but they are stuck fast. Does anyone have any tips for removing them without damaging the heating element?
Thanks in advance.

I just suffer with the advertising in my car because they're stuck fast, but if you have some Sticky Stuff Remover then maybe give that a go?Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0

Thanks VickyA, we have already tried that and it doesn't remove it. Hate advertising on the car, that is why we want it removed.0

It annoys the hell out of me and I'd love to see a regulation passed that required dealers to get explicit permission before putting their stupid advertising into OUR cars!!
I suggest that you try GENTLY heating it with a hair-dryer to see if softening the glue will help.If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!0 -
Hold a jug of boiling water upto the sticker. The steam should loosen it.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0

Boiling water on a cloth and then hold it over the sticker to melt the glue, or a hair dryer.

Hi OP,
I've often had success with removing labels and sticky marks using that brass or silver polish in wadding form (Duragl*t, Brasso etc). It seems to dissolve the glue, leaving a smudgy mark which you can remove by rubbing hard with a clean cloth.

WD40. It dissolves gum deposits. Carefully peel away the top of the decal, spray some WD40 into the V shape, wait a minute and then carfully peel the decal down a bit more. Repeat until the decal is removed. The preferred method of removing the old season's advertising decals from competition cars. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

I've also heard that WD40 is good and I remember an episode of 'Kim and Aggie' where they used mayonnaise and a scrapper to get countless stickers off of a fridge.
I've also used hand-wash disinfectant to remove fine, sticky residue.
I don't know how either would work with the heating vent though...0
