just been to tescos and they have a plasma 42" LG tv with freeview for £899.99. (£100 off normal price) Does anyone know know if this is a good buy or would i be better off sticking to panasonic/sony/samsung? i would really appreciate any advice.Quite like the idea of buying from tescos though as i have a double points coupon which has to be used by 31st. Thanks for any advice.

Without a bit more info it is very hard to tell what it compares to. LG do make good PC stuff though (CD, DVD, and flat PC screens among others), and a friend has an LG flatscreen TV he thinks is really good, so the brand is definitely respectable. If you could find out the model number, I'm sure google would have the answer!0

We have had a 42" LG plasma for over a year now although we don't have the one with Freeview - no point as theres no Freeview available in my area and according to all websites "in the know" there won't be even after the turn off the analogue TV! But thats another gripe!
Anyway - at the time our choice was between an LG and an even more expensive Panasonic and we chose the LG as it seemed to be the better TV (OH knows about all things techie but don't ask me!) out of them both aswell as being the better price.
We have never had one hiccup with the TV since we got it and fingers crossed it keeps going strong! My first venture into LG and I would certainly go back....
.......cringes as TV fizzles and blows up in the corner!!!!! lol"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!
