hello everyone im new to the board and need some advice please.
i know there is already alot of info on hear about isa's, but i would need about 1 month to read through it all.
what i am after is.
i have around £3000 to put into a isa, i want this fixed and not touch it, but i also want to put about £300 a month into the isa, is there any out there that will let me do this, and if so what ones are the best to go for.
any help would be a god send, thank you
scott

You cannot split your ISA allowance so you would have to put it in an account whereby you can put in additional deposits.

I believe this is the best ISA available (although I am a week or 2 out of sync so I could be wrong).0 -
hi thank you for the reply, as you can tell i am new to all this and dont really know what to do.0

You can put up to £5,100 in until April 5th, so just make sure you do not go over this limit and you'll be fine0

You go to jail, directly to jail and you are not allowed past Go.
In seriousness you will get a stern letter from HMRC warning you not to do it. If you do it again, I don't know what would happen.0 -
ahh not a good idea to go over then eh.0

what happens if you go over?
It depends on whether Her Majesties Revenue and Customs are in a good mood or not. They usually aren't and your ISA stops being an ISA and they "invite" you to pay tax on your interest.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
It's been a long week!
Don't worry, I still regularly see newspaper/magazine articles using last year's figures for both ISA contributions and CGT allowances.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
