Thanks. Trying not to worry about it, but struggling. So should we just ignore the letters completely?Fantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0

Mackenzie Hall were chasing me for a Kay's catalogue debt that they were collecting on behalf of another debt collection agency called Capquest.
Capqest told Mackenzie Hall they bought it direct from Kay's in 2007 but when I checked with Kay's the debt was sold in 1997 and not to bloody Capqest.
So the debt collectors tell lies and I told Mackenzie Hall that the debt was statue barred and I wasn't paying it and they handed it back to Capquest
Mackenzie Hall buys old debts hoping you will pay and they make a huge profit from you but if its statue barred and you have not made a payment or not acknowledged the debt in over six years then its statue barred and they cannot take you to court over it but they can still demand payment but if you say your not paying they have to leave it at that.
Just ignore Mackenzie Hall because they will not do anything because they know its statue barred.I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
Thanks. We know my partner hasn't used the account for 8-9 years and has had no correspondance from the bank. I am so glad I found the info on this website or we would have paid itFantastic Expectations Amazing Revelations0
