Can I save money with a D.R.O.?

Good morning, my D.R.O. was granted in late June this year...I'm wondering what the rules are about saving...I think I could save about £5.00 a week if I'm careful as I want to get a new vacuum cleaner eventually...(the one I have is held together with tape)..does anyone know if I'm allowed to save and if so..do I have to inform the Insolvency service of this? I've got no intention of doing anything underhand as I reckon I've been very lucky to be granted a D.R.O. which has improved my condition significantly.

Hi,
Yes the savings you are talking about are ok, but don't accumulate more than £300 within your DRO year (moratorium period).
