Bargain USA skincare at Poundland!

I was in my local Poundland today and noticed they had American pharmacy chain CVS Pharmacy's own brand face cream and Radiant Eye Treatment (I only knew of this chain through them being mentioned on US Show Extreme Makeover:Home Edition!). It appears to be a discontinued line as I couldn't find the eye-cream on their website. I did a quick google and discovered the eye-cream previously retailed at $22.99, so £1 for a 15ml bottle seems quite good. I purchased the eye cream. Skin cream jar looked like 50ml, didn't look too closely as I didn't need a moisturiser. Worth a try!

what a coincidence - I saw the CVS foaming moisturiser in our Poundland today! I thought it looked posh from the packaging - mind you, have just googled it and its only £4 on Amazon -

I knew there was a third item that I'd seen yesterday, they had the deep foaming moisturiser too. I suppose even if they are selling online for around £5 with postage that £1 is pretty good. I tried the eye cream today, I'll give it a few weeks and report back the results.0

Bought this, this morning before Id seen this thread. Was too drawn to the fancy packaging and thought it looked kind of pricey. Never seen anything like this in poundland before but my local had the deep foaming face wash and the facial moisturisor. Wish I had known it was worth more as I would have bought more than one jar of the stuffMFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

I'm going to buy some more of the eye treatment if I can get it, as if it turns out to be really good I don't want to run out! Tempted to get the moisturisers too as at £1 a go they are cheaper than my Avon, although I do have quite sensitive skin so might stick to what works.0

The had two different moisturisers in my local 99p store about a month ago.
I bought one of each type to try; but didn't like either as not rich enough for my mega dry skin.
madcow1976 - i normally have quite sesitive skin and they didn't irritate it at all just left it feeling really thirsty.
I didn't know they were a recognised American brand - just thought they were bog standard 99p store cheapies.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
This brand is also in 99p shops and has been for ages, I bought some cleanser a while ago thinking it was an odd brand but I could see it was decent packaging, forgot to look it up though, it was quite nice especially for 99p:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Last week, I happened upon and bought a couple of packs of the cvs radient eye treatment and the cvs Intense Hydrating Cream with Glucosamine.
When I returned home, I "googled" them...as you do, LOL...and apparently they are generic versions of Olay creams!! So, for £4, I think I got myself a really good deal!!!

I was in another store today and they also had CVS version of Holiday Skin self-tanning lotion. Also got more eye treatment incase I can't get more.0

There are some great beauty buys in shops like Poundland. They tend to be the result of some kind of stock !!!! up by somebody somewhere, so my advice is if you see a bargain stock up. It may not be there for long. Most cosmetics and personal care products are quite useable for years so you can.Student of the science of beauty0

Reading Friar street branch had lots of the CVS foaming moisturiser and Radiant Eye Treatment but only a couple of the cvs Intense Hydrating Cream with Glucosamine this morning.
