It's all gone quiet0

It does tend to be quiet here on a sunday.
A few quick thoughts:
Is there anything your wife can do to increase her income?
Can your son contribute towards his own mobile cost?
Can you make any savings on gas and electricity? Make sure everything is turn off when not in use etc.
Your groceries spend looks good but perhaps with the help of the old style board or dropping a brand, you could improve it?
You have a huge surplus at the end of the month so you are chucking a lot of money down the drain with additional socialising etc. A spending diary is a good idea to see where lots of your cash is going, but what I do is work out how much all my direct debits come to, budget an avergae amount for fuel and shopping, a bit for emergency and then everything that's left is transferred to my debts. That way, when i look at my account i know all the money is in there is allocated to living expenses and i can;t just chuck it away on a night out or a weekend away.
Have just noticed you haven't included your credit card minumum payments into your SOA, so you probably don't have £745 left over at the end of the month. You need to include your minimums for a more accurate picture.0 -
Cheers smartie. Going to double check SOA as I think under estimated groceries (wife buys them) and gas and electric ( thinking about solar panels)
I've started a spending diary which is a brilliant deterant to spend money !!!
I now have the option of a cc with 5.9% life balance so am thinking clear overdraft with it then set my self a plan/target of clearing my cards!!!!( will just need to sort them into order which isn't simple with the differing rates0
