Help with application form

Hi All

I'm in the middle of filling in an application form for Stagecoach (buses) and I'm trying to fill in the section " please state briefly why you are applying for this position. Describe how your past experiences may be helpful to your application."

I know this sounds like a very easy part to fill in but I really want to sell myself because I really need this job and I don't want to give them any reason for not employing me because I didn't word it right and mark out how my experiences can be reused in this new role.

I can only imagine some of the 'reasons' they get listed for why do you want this job (feel free to speculate).

Can anyone help?

My Previous Experiences are working as a supervisor for Superdrug and Customer Service Rep for Orange.
If it wasn't for the mistakes I made in the past (and learned from), I wouldn't be who and where I am today. It doesn't matter if you've cocked up, what matters is that you put it right and apologise. x

Its a chance to comment on all the things that you have enjoyed and accomplished in a readable format which also covers how there are transferrable to this job. Its should ideally about your strengths.

You take each of the skills and experiences in the 'essential' box, or anything else they tell you is part of the job role; and do this:

Teamwork: I am a team player and take the role of X within a team. I have worked as part of a team in many of my past roles including yada and yada and have achieved X and Y, increasing Z and reducing M within the team structure. In the role of ork, our team went from zero to hero in N months, and we achieved that by utilising many of my strengths including wahey and wahoo.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

All Done now. Just gotta keep my fingers crossed.
